HUMINT Analyst - Afghanistan

Job description
L-3 NSS has an opening for a HUMINT Analyst deploying to Afghanistan for 1 year.

As an HUMINT Analyst you will:
  • Function as part of an intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of USFORA, CJTF Paladin, Regional Command, BCT/RCT/MEU/MEB Coalition BDE, Battalion CJ2 staffs' analytical requirements.
  • Be responsible for researching, developing, presenting and publishing HUMINT products at the tactical and operational level related to insurgent IED cell activities, and threats to local/regional stability as part of an overall C-IED analytical team.
  • Conduct analysis of raw and fused human intelligence and counterintelligence data of insurgents who are directly linked to the acquisition, production, transportation, emplacement and employment of IEDs.
  • Provide input to multiple government requirements and objectives, assists with the analysis and production of various intelligence products specifically focused on the C-IED mission set, and supplies analytical support for senior military leaders.
  • Attend meetings and conduct comprehensive research on complex topics independently or as a part of a larger analytical effort focusing on IED related current events and long term trends that could impact the supported unit's mission.
  • Be responsible for HUMINT analysis related to IED threats, C-IED mission planning, target development, damage assessment and counterterrorism in the AOR and Afghanistan in general.


Qualifications

The HUMINT Analyst must possess:
  • Current Secret security clearance.
  • Associates degree or equivalent midlevel military enlisted or company grade officer experience.
  • 4 Years analytical experience within DoD or equivalent government agencies.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic intelligence computer applications and intelligence related automation, including MS Office products to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Strong research and writing skills and be capable of effectively operating as a member of a strategic level analytical team in the accomplishment of assessments of sources and their reporting through the corroboration of source reporting, analytical feedback, quality assurance and the development of HUMINT and intelligence products and assessments.
  • Former 35L/M, 351 L/M, 180A, 18F, 35D/35E, 1N, 35F, 350F, 35A, 34A or equivalent.

Desired:
  • Experience in IED/CIED, CT, South West Asia regional issues and HUMINT, CI, or military analysis.
