Xator Corporation is seeking Aviation Security Screeners in Iraq. Duties include providing frontline security and protection of travelers, airports and airplanes by identifying prohibited objects in baggage and on passengers. They also are responsible for preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft by utilizing diverse, cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment in a courteous and professional manner. Since airports are open 24-hours a day, the job may require working:
Irregular hours and/or shifts
Holidays and weekends
Additional hours per operational Requirements

Implements security-screening procedures by preventing prohibited objects from being transported onto an aircraft. Conducting screening of passengers, baggage and cargo. Monitors the flow of passengers through the screening checkpoint to facilitate the orderly and efficient processing of passengers. Maintains close communication with supervisors regarding any issues that might reveal a weakness or vulnerable area of security screening that is discovered in the course of screening duties. Participates in information briefings concerning security-sensitive or classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
Current Passport
Ability to work closely with Host country Nationals within customs and Immigration
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance which requires US citizenship.
Current TSA Screener Certification or Aviation Ground Security Operative (Level I) Equivalent
At least one year of full-time work experience in security work, aviation screener work, or x-ray technician work.
All candidates must be able to pass a background investigation including a credit check and drug and alcohol screening
Ability to learn the theories, dynamics, and factors underlying the aviation screening process to enable authoritative and independent handling of screening functions.
Ability to learn and operate basic security equipment such as X-ray machines and hand wands at screening checkpoints
Have basic aptitudes and physical abilities including color perception, visual and aural acuity, physical coordination, and motor skills to the following standards:
Screeners operating screening equipment must be able to:
Distinguish on the screening equipment monitor the appropriate imaging standard specified in the foreign air carrier's security program.
Screeners operating any screening equipment must be able to distinguish each color displayed on every type of screening equipment and explain what each color signifies.
Must be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by screening equipment at an active screening location.
Screeners who perform physical searches or other related operations must be able to efficiently and thoroughly manipulate and handle such baggage, containers, cargo, and other objects subject to screening, up to 50 lbs.
Screeners who perform pat-downs or hand-held metal detector searches of individuals must have sufficient dexterity and capability to thoroughly conduct those procedures over an individual's entire body.
A screener must have the ability to read, speak, and write English well enough to:
Carry out written and oral instructions regarding the proper performance of screening duties
Read English language identification media, credentials, airline tickets, documents, air waybills, invoices, and labels on items normally encountered in the screening process
Provide direction to and understand and answer questions from English-speaking individuals undergoing screening
Write incident reports and statements and log entries into security records in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:
Lead TSA Certification.
Aviation Security Supervisor (Level II) Equivalent.
TSA Trainer or On the Job Mentor

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
