Position Description
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to shape the long-term practices of GCM. As this is a new position within GCM, the exact responsibilities will change over time. The exact responsibilities will depend on the priorities of the team. GCM management is committed to the long-term career development of our team members and will shape the role to support the longer-term goals of the right candidate.
Assists in enhancing the security of personnel, property, facilities, operations, and information of AIG and its 40 sites throughout Spanish South America. Ensures compliance with Global Security Policy requirements. Conducts Site Security Assessments (SSA) of large (>10,000 Sq. Ft.) facilities and provides SSA Reports to Country Managers. Verifies security of smaller sites by evaluating them with Small Office Matrix form. Supervises top-tier Executive Protection, providing enhanced security not only for Country Managers, but for visiting C-suite executives as well. Ensures guard forces are properly trained to accomplish missions. Coordinates installation, replacement, upgrades, and maintenance of security hardware. Advises Country Managers on relevant security issues. Keeps Regional Security Director informed regarding security situation in the sub-region.
This position will be in Bogotá, Colombia as part of the LAC Security team. Manager will report to the AIG Regional Security Director- LAC.
Position Requirements
Strong security skills and experience, especially in the implementation, standardization of, and compliance with policy and procedures of organizations or companies in South America. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Solid verbal and written communications ability. Military or law enforcement background preferred. College diploma. Knowledge of local security laws and practices. Familiarity with Latin American culture. Ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability with regard to frequently changing situations. Must demonstrate leadership and initiative.
