Job description
- Provide timely advice based on analysis /assessment of security risk / threat and impact to enable well informed business decision.
- Develop and execute security plans to meet company business objectives.
- Continuously review, implement and maintain effective security policy, procedures and practices to ensure safety and protection of personnel, assets, information and business operational activities.
- Plan and conduct security enquiries, investigations and reviews of security breaches.
- Co-ordinate Risk and Crisis Management processes to ensure that proactive assessment of, planning for and management of Risks and Crises are carried out within the Company.
- Develop and maintain appropriate level of fire prevention and fire-fighting system to mitigate fire risk.
- Assist the Legal in matters concerning AIT by :
- Analyzing & proactively highlighting relevant AIT opportunities & threats to the attention of management
- Making recommendations on how to leverage opportunities or address AIT threats before they impact the business
- Engaging relevant authorities and stakeholders where appropriate
- Assist the Legal by acting as translator where needed in all internal & external events and translating any documents between the local and English languages, filing, business and/or legal letter drafting, (if any and whenever required)
- Monitor security situation and take proactive measures to minimize security risk to the business commensurate to the dynamic security environment.
- Assessment, planning and execution of those Crisis Management activities that are the direct responsibility of the Security Function i.e. Kidnap and Ransom, Malicious Product Contamination and Extortion, Evacuation, Civil/Military Unrest.
- Drive effectiveness and efficiency of the security budget and other security related costs.
- Assess, evaluate, plan and arrange third party security and fire services. Monitor the effectiveness of contractual services and review service scopes.
- Assist Legal in managing and updating the legislation, laws and regulations database, contract drafting and reviewing for the Company
Essential requirements
- Be a mature individual, with a broad experience in corporate security management and legal background (more favorable).
- Possess good communication skills in English and Khmer, which he is able to exercise at all levels.
- Be capable of exploiting all sources of information to obtain and collate detail on all threats or potential threats to the Company.
- Being capable of issuing clear written and verbal orders.
- Have the ability to produce timely, accurate, detailed and concise written and verbal reports/reviews.
- Have knowledge of all aspects of physical and electronic security; specifically, locks, building security, control of access procedures, perimeter protection, the use of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and Intruder Detection Systems (IDS).
- Be capable of commanding a contracted and/or ‘in-house’ guard force.
- Be capable of carrying out and managing effective investigations involving breaches of security and security incidents.
- Have the ability to provide a security input to contingency plans.
- Ideally a degree level qualification coupled with a relevant professional qualification of military/ and/or police institution
