Security Coordinator , Kenya


Location: Nairobi Kenya
Closing date: 23 Feb 2016


Reporting to: The Operations Manager 

Purpose of the position:
The Security coordinator will coordinate security matters in the organization through support programs and plans.

Documentation: 
Develop an organization Security plan & operating procedures 
Regular evaluation/revision of Security Management and contingency Plans,
Collate and disseminate appropriate safety and security information to FEED staff
Regular assessment of the security situation at the FEED premises and related environs
Regularly Submit security reports and recommendations to Management.
Timely security updates to all staff.

Training:
Ensure that all FEED personnel receive appropriate Security training at all FEED offices
Ensure that all staff are sufficiently trained, briefed and prepared to make timely decisions
Disseminate relevant training in collaboration with relevant.
Coordinate and conduct First aid training and Fire drill for all staff. Coordination: Regularly liaise with other NGOs, INGO’s Local Government and other relevant partners on matters security and safety.
Coordinate security aspects of visiting staff from other country offices
Ensure security provider at FEED premises offer quality service and comply with FEED Standards
Set up working communication channels for communicating security matters first.
Work with relevant team leaders in organizing security response for staff in need
Responsible for briefing of visitors and staff on personal security responsibilities

Assessments:
Monitor all Security equipment /installations are functioning at all times, and report any malfunctioning
Ensure concerned teams are trained on use of communication equipment is functioning and users well trained to use

Required QualificationsStrong technical competencies in Security & Safety Management Should be a holder of a Degree in related field or Diploma with 5yrs in related field
Experience with the INGO security/safety management framework
Experience in participatory Security training Background
Motivated, Professional able to represent the Organization at Security forums
Excellent people skills, good communication skill both verbal and written
Familiarity with Security operations, with relevant experience in complex emergencies
Experience in training/disseminating security information
Excellent Computer skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Be a holder of a valid Driving License
Ability to abide with FEED Ethos
