Start Date:   Arrive Basra 08 March 2017 (Subj to LOI/SEV application)

Daily rate

Aegis will offer competitive day rate (only paid whilst on-duty) Contractor will not be reimbursed whilst off-duty *Some tax may be payable locally to those hired in Iraq on non-US Government contracts.


Rotation

“8 weeks on and 4 weeks off however candidates need to be flexible as the rotation will be driven by operational requirements – however candidates need to be flexible and will be driven by operational requirement,

Travel Pay

Travel pay none is offered. The first day of pay is the day of your arrival in Theatre. Your last day of pay is the day of your departure from Theatre.

Package

Aegis will provide the Independent Contractor with housing, food and transportation while you are in Theatre along with insurances

Flight Package

The Hub Airport designated by the Company. Aegis BVI will provide economy class flights (subject to availability) to and from the Consultant’s designated International Hub Airport for each leave rotation.

(The cost of travel to the Aegis London Office or to the departure point for deployment is your responsibility and therefore not chargeable to the Company. Similarly on return from a project all travel costs from the designated entry point of arrival in your home country are your responsibility)

Hiring Criteria

The Watchkeeper will require 5 years military experience. He will have worked in an Operations Room and will have a good working knowledge of VHF communication systems, be proficient with MS Office 2003/7 and have experience of the following systems;

· The ability to be resourceful, remain flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

· Previous experience in a similar role of not less than 1 year

· The ability to operate in a hostile and unfamiliar environment.

· Knowledge of the region and its political and economic dynamics.

· Military experience obligatory.

· Be in possession of a current driving licence.

· Must be able to work productively under pressure.

· Will need to demonstrate flexibility.

· Be in possession of a clean police criminal records check.

· Motorola VHF handheld and base station equipment and antennas

· Commercial tracking solutions

· Iridium satellite phones

· MS Office 2003/7

· FalconView mapping software

· In date frontline SIA license (for UK expats and countries that offer international equivalent)

· In date FPOS-I or MIRA qualification

· To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.

Job Duties

The Watchkeeper will operate and maintain an effective communications capability with deployed teams using radio, satellite and data communications. He will ensure that every team is monitored via a vehicle tracking system and ensure that the system is available to the SOCC staff as required. The Watchkeeper will report directly to the Security Operations Officer.

§ Operate communications equipment and ensure that there is no loss of communications with deployed teams.

§ Maintain a tracking capability whereby all deployed teams are visible on the PC based tracking system.

§ Maintain all communications logs and mission associated paperwork, to include but not be limited to MRF submissions and approvals, flap sheets, deployment checklists, skype logs and voice communications logs.

§ Be fully conversant with all communications systems used by Aegis/ENI.

§ Report faulty equipment to the CISO and assist with fault finding and defect rectification.

§ Report any requests for assistance from teams to the Security Operations Officer immediately.

§ Ensure passage of information to all addressees as required.

§ Ensure daily / weekly reports are distributed as required.

§ To carry out any other duties as directed by the Project management.
