Job Introduction:
The CP Operator (CPO) is at the front line of the delivery of the FCO contract operation; the role requires individuals who are suitably experienced and qualified in firearms and armoured vehicle driving. The CPO must be able to follow instructions clearly but also be able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities Include:
Attending operations briefings as directed by the Ops Manager or Team Leader.
Provide Close Protection in accordance with SOPs for all clients as directed during Ops briefs or other “Quick Orders” briefs given by the Ops Manager or Team Leader.
Safeguard all issued equipment in accordance with SOPs and ensure that any damages or deficiencies are brought to the attention of the Chain of Command without delay.
Conduct a daily check of weapons systems and ammunition issued, and ensure that all weapons systems are properly secured at all times.
Maintain all personal issue equipment including vehicles, weapons, radios, etc in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and First Parade sheets etc.
Ensure that arrival times on task are sufficiently early to attend to any last minute delays or briefings.
Maintain a professional operational relationship with the clients.
Ensure that the Junior Ops Manager is kept informed at all times of all vehicle movements.
Be in possession of up-to-date code sheets and ensure that any loss of these sheets is reported to the Junior Ops Manager without delay.
Attend weekly intelligence updates and read the evening Intelligence Summary.
Maintain an acceptable level of physical fitness and pass all mandatory fitness tests.
Attend all organised training sessions.
Ensure that standards of appearance are of a professional nature and in line with the G4S IES Staff Handbook, or as directed by the PM.




The Ideal Candidate:

Successful Candidate Must:
Be a British Citizen with a permanent residence in UK.
Have served a minimum of 7 years Service in the British Army or Royal Marines.
Have left military service with substantive rank of Corporal or equivalent. Be able to prove this on application by submitting / uploading full Military Record of Service and Testimonial.
Possess a valid UK driving licence, SIA Licence and CRB check within 3 months of application.
Have a City of Guilds or BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection.
Have an in-date FPOS or FREC 3 Certificate.
Be able to attain UK Security Clearance (SC).
