SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies is seeking experienced civilian law enforcement experience. NOTE: Actual employment contingent upon award of contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and publish information bulletins on new directives and instructions requiring the attention of all UNMISS Police Officers
Supervise human resources management process: assist in the determination of the appropriate assignments and provide recommendations of suitable personnel to key-non-professional positions
Oversee and monitor the deployment of individual police officers and allocation of related resources to meet operational requirements
Provide strategic planning and concept of strategies responsibilities
Facilitate coordination and management between various UNMISS units.
Coordinate and oversee the movement of personnel (MOP) within and outside of the Mission
Ensue the planning of staff rotations, tour of duty extensions, leave, and compensated time off (CTO)
Oversee and monitor existing UNMISS Police and Corrections division logistics and resources, ensue that resources remain fully mission capable (FMC) and adhere to required maintenance programs

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Seven (7) years of law enforcement/corrections experience
Must have been an active law enforcement/corrections officer within the last five (5) years
Overseas deployment experience preferred
Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance or MPRT

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in curriculum development and capacity building
Knowledge of multilateral/multidimensional peacekeeping operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred
Prior UN peacekeeping experience or international police training
Familiarity with mission planning and organizational development in developing or post-conflict environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in the South Sudan – OCONUS. Travel is required
Living and working conditions include: Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile conditions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires and supervises direct reports.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
