AXO/IED Task Order Leader (Notional Opportunity)

The AXO/IED TOL will provide overall in-country management of the task order and the contractors of the on-the-ground team. Actively supports and upholds the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions

Responsible for in-country execution of the task order including directing all activities to ensure desired goals and objectives are achieved within cost, schedule and performance parameters, coordinate and communicate with host nations and others
Interface with DOS, host nation agencies, international organizations, and other supporting agencies to establish priorities in search and clearance of unexploded ordnance/abandoned ordnance/improvised explosive devices (UXO/AXO/IED) in the host nation
Integration of AXO/IED removal with other emergency management efforts to achieve humanitarian and security objectives
Manage implementation of AXO/IED removal training for host nation partner elements
Develop and implement a system to certify cleared areas as safe

Job Requirements

Associates degree required, Undergraduate degree desirable
Education requirements may be met with 2 additional years of specialized experience
Former US or Coalition or military member highly experienced in explosive ordnance disposal/improvised explosive device defeat (EOD/IEDD)
At least 6 years specialized experience managing complex EOD/IEDD projects, humanitarian mine action correlated projects related to operations in conflict areas
Knowledge of host country requirements and culture
Overseas work experience highly desirable, preferably for 2 or more years
Knowledge of applicable US DOD and IMAS standards, industry and international best practices
SECRET clearance required
If former military must have received a honorable discharge
Must be available to work outside the normal schedule when dictated by needs of the company
Ability to work in harsh working conditions, outdoors, and/or in extreme temperatures
Must be willing to deploy OCONUS
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
